Bio:
Mark Kemp is President & Chief Executive Officer of Tecomet, a Charlesbank portfolio company and a global leader of supply chain solutions serving the medical device and aerospace/defense markets. Mark also serves as a member of Tecomet’s Board of Directors. Founded in 1963 and headquartered in Woburn, MA, Tecomet operates sixteen (16) global manufacturing facilities in five countries around the world with approximately 3000 employees. Tecomet is a leading supplier of global supply chain solutions for the medical device and aerospace/defense markets. Tecomet’s core capabilities include near-net shape forging, precision casting, photochemical etching, precision machining, metal forming & joining of critical components, laser cutting/welding and cleanroom assembly services.
Prior to his appointment as CEO of Tecomet, Mark served as President & Chief Operating Officer of Tecomet (October 2015 to March 2016) while also serving as member of Tecomet’s Board of Directors.
Prior to Tecomet, Mark was President of Flextronics Medical, a business division of Flextronics (NASDAQ: FLEX), and the global leader of medical supply chain solutions serving the medical device, diagnostics, and pharmaceuticals industries. Flextronics is a $30B, industry-leading, Fortune Global 500 Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) provider with more than 200,000 employees and operations in 30 countries.
Mark is a member of AdvaMed’s CEO Advisory Council and previously served as the President of Flextronics’ Medical Advisory Council, member of the Board of Directors for Escientia Life Sciences, and RIWISA AG.
In his 17 years with Flextronics, Mark also served as Senior Vice President & General Manager of Medical Devices, a division under Flextronics Medical serving the medical devices, drug delivery, and disposables markets. Vice President of Consumer Health & Drug Delivery where he was responsible for operations, R&D, business development and related commercial functions. Prior to moving into the medical segment of Flextronics, Mark was Vice President of the Mobile Communications segment and VP & Global Account Manager for the Motorola account (Flextronics second largest customer during the 1999 – 2005 time frame).
Prior to joining Flextronics, Mark had over 20 years’ managerial experience in business development, operations, supply chain and M&A with Aerospace and Defense companies (Pratt & Whitney Aircraft and Sparton Electronics) and a mid-tier contract manufacturer (XeTel Corporation).
Mark is a graduate of the Stanford Executive Leadership Development Program and holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Florida and a Master of Business Administration in Aviation from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
