Bio :
Pierfrancesco Robotti has a strong technical and commercial background with a M.Sc. degree in Biomedical Engineering and MBA from Milan Polytechnic University, Italy. He has served for about ten years Tecres spa – Italy, a company of manufacture, sales and marketing of acrylic based bone cements worldwide. He was initially a Researcher, later as a Research Officer to coordinate both research and regulatory affair activities.
From 2005 to 2011, he was Research Manager at Eurocoating SPA – Italy, a world leader of providing services worldwide to over 100 orthopedic companies to enhance the bone integration. Specifically through Titanium porous coatings and Hydroxyapatite coatings, via Thermal Plasma Spray technology, and Metal Additive Manufacturing.
Eurocoating s.p.a., among the others activities, has in place an 3D printing Department where several direct metal manufacturing technologies, based on powder metallurgy, are investigated and exploited for commercial production of orthopaedic implantable components. Other than research activities, he also has deep regulatory knowledge and involved in many regulatory activities, including preparation of many FDA Master Files related to Eurocoating’s products.
From 2012 till now Mr. Robotti has been serving as a Scientific Marketing Manager with responsibility of projects management, technical and regulatory support for both internal sales people and clients worldwide including Europe, USA and China. He represented the company participating in many technical orthopedic meetings to introduce Eurocoating’s metal additive manufacturing technologies to international orthopedic companies.
